Delete Your Account

You can delete your Sports Hopping account and its data at any time, either from inside the app or by email.

In the app

1. Open Sports Hopping and go to Settings.
2. Tap Delete account.
3. Confirm when asked.

Your account and its data are deleted immediately.

Without the app

If you no longer have the app installed, email sporthopping@proton.me from the email address on your account and ask us to delete it. You can use this link to start the message: Delete my Sports Hopping account. Requests sent this way are handled within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your account, including your email address.
• Your profile, attended and wishlisted venues, favorites, follows, logged games, and badges.
• Any venue photo you uploaded that has not yet been approved and published.

What's kept, anonymized

A few things you contributed are kept because they're shared with other users or form part of an audit trail, but with the link to your account removed:

• A venue photo you uploaded that was already approved and published.
• Venue corrections, location confirmations, problem or feedback reports you sent us, and club names or photos you reported. Any free text you wrote in these is kept as part of that record, so avoid including personal information in it — you can email us to have specific text removed.
• Clubs you added that other people's logged games may use.

None of this is shown with your name or account attached once your account is deleted. Copies of deleted data may also remain briefly in routine database backups until those backups rotate out.
